Week 1/2

Well I have been at Link year for almost two weeks now and it has been one of the best decisions of my life. I have learned so much since I got here. First things we have done have been focused on understanding ourselves. Once we understand our strengths, weaknesses and challenges we can make a plan to use and cultivate our strengths while improving the areas that we are weak on.
We have also taken time to try and get to understand each other, by sharing with one another what we have found in our self reflection and through the Birkman assessment we took. It has helped me grow closer and understand my friends so much better.
We are now taking the time to think about our future and our priorities. We are making a plan for our future on how we want to move forward with our priorities. making specific and measurable goals that are both ambitious and realistic. We will be encouraged to look back on this plan, so that we can see our progress and maintain the course we set out. It is nothing set in stone, we will change things as needed, but having Goals is a good start.
For each goal we support it with at least one Bible verse. If the Bible is not calling us to make something a priority in our life, we have no business making it one. The experience has given me a lot of time to think about my future and what is really important to me.
I miss the people in my life that I am so used to spending every day with; my family and friends, but know that God is shaping me into the man He wants me to be and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Love you Guys,
